Amazing Historical Place in Lucknow… – Bara Imambara
The roof of Imambara is made up from the rice husk which makes this Imambara a unique building. It gives us an idea of how well to do the Nawabs were and how lavish life the ancestors used to live.
Trying to find my way through the Bhool Bhulaiya is part of my childhood memories. Oh, that is so encouraging.
Even as the architects spent days, weeks and months designing the Bada Imambada and the other buildings in the complex including the mosque and the step-wellsthe architects were given an interesting challenge to work on.
The central hall has several other interesting artifacts that you need to watch out for. A labyrinth of about a thousand passageways, the Bhool Bhulaiya at Bada Imambara in Lucknowhas intrigued traveler as well as architects for the last two hundred years.
